Recycling

The recycling industry has become a focus for Wheeler Equipment as a result of our many years working on cable machines and Washington yarders.

As many yarders and line loaders were converted to scrap handlers – with magnets and/or claws, we found ourselves in a lot of scrap yards around Vancouver and western Canada. While Wheeler Equipment was already the expert when it came to old cable cranes (which had dominated for decades) we soon became the number one choice for the repair of Sennebogen and Leibherr materials handlers as they took over.

Wheeler Equipment is specially trained in the hydraulics and mechanical workings of both Sennebogen and Leibherr materials handlers. We are currently working on the complete rebuild of a Leibherr 934C.

We can work on just about every piece of gear in the yard: scrap handlers, Sierra bailers, Aljohn mobile bailers, Overbuilt car bailers, and shearers. Wheeler Equipment is also also repair central for recycling grapples and electromagnets. Nobody knows this technology like our Wheeler crew. We work on Ohio, Sterns and Hubble crane electromagnets.
